"Each summer NC-HCAP sponsors its Science Enrichment Preparation (SEP) Program on UNC’s campus. SEP is an eight-week, academic enrichment program for minority and disadvantaged students seeking to increase their preparedness for entry into graduate/health professional programs. Participating in the public health Videoconference is a major complement to the curriculum and enrichment activities that these scholars will engage in throughout their summer experience."
"As director of the National Science Foundation Alliance for Graduate Education and Professoriate (NSF AGEP) at UNC, I am especially pleased that our students will be a part of this event. The NSF AGEP program will have minority undergraduates from across the country visiting UNC for a summer research experience. These students are specifically interested in graduate research and careers in academia. Their participation in this event on June 3rd will be one of the highlights of their summer experience and will certainly spark their research interests in public health. Again, we commend you and offer our full support." |
